nightrideThink Different 14 October 2007, 08:11 GMT, Sydney (+10:00) For the most of my life I thought I was being a right-wing cunt. If someone can walk, talk and work and they're not particularly insane, they have to take care of themselves. Nice and easy. Everybody's responsible for their own good. Little or no taxes and state has no bloody right to interfere with its citizens' lives. But hey, people change, don't they? I guess it may have something to do with me living relatively wealthy life, speaking strictly with consideration of those 90% less fortunate worldwide. I do not have to live of $2 a day. I have a clear water to drink, I have medical assistance available, I have places to live (yes, in fact more than one), I even have access to something they dare call culture! I'm doing fine. I'm doing far better than most others on this ball swinging through the vast unknown. Being brainwashed by newspapers I hardly read, by radio I never listen to, by my massive flat screen TV I seldom turn on, by Internet I'm hooked on and most importantly by my sick and increasingly sickening point of view, I cannot address myself as a right-wing cunt anymore. I'm slowly metamorphosing into a green left-wing super-cunt. 'Cos I'm paying for green electricity, 'cos I'm not driving a car, 'cos I'm separating garbage, 'cos I'm ditching air-con. 'Cos I'm trying to avoid disposable use of our planet. I might know shit about Kyoto and I definitely don't feel like kissing Al's ass just 'cos he's starred in some lame doco, made it to Apple board of directors and got himself a nice medal from Scandinavia, yet I can still feel the vibe. So I'll vote accordingly. Give 'em kids a fair go. That's the very least I can do. (Australian federal election has been called earlier today by PM John Howard to take place on 24 November 2007.)
